Man in DUI fatality case gets 10 days in jail and probation

An Illinois man from Park Ridge was sentenced to 10 days in jail and four years of probation for a 2013 drunk driving accident in which a cyclist was killed. The man received his sentence after he pleaded guilty to aggravated drunk driving and reckless homicide on Jan. 27.

Woman charged with DUI after hitting school bus

On Feb. 10, a woman was charged with driving under the influence after she struck a school bus with her van. The accident took place along northbound route 32 in central Illinois while a busload of high school basketball players and cheerleaders was traveling to a basketball tournament.
