Three busted for meth during traffic stop

On March 4, three people were taken into custody for drug charges after a traffic stop in Illinois. The incident occurred at approximately 1:55 p.m. in Warsaw.

According to a local television station, a deputy with the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office pulled over a vehicle at the intersection of 6th Street and Jackson Street. During the stop, the deputy searched the interior of the vehicle and allegedly discovered methamphetamine, other controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

All three occupants of the vehicle, two females and one male, were taken into custody. One female defendant, a 33-year-old resident of Farmington, Iowa, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute under 5 grams and possession of a controlled substance. She also had an outstanding warrant from McDonough County, Illinois. A second female defendant, a 52-year-old resident of Farmington, Iowa, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute under 5 grams. The male defendant, a 37-year-old resident from Keokuk, Iowa, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute under 5 grams. He also had two outstanding warrants from Hancock County, Illinois, and Henry County, Iowa. All three defendants were transported to the Hancock County Jail for processing.
