2 men charged with drug trafficking

According to the Illinois State Police, two Tennessee men were taken into custody on May 17 after authorities found several pounds of marijuana in their vehicle. The incident occurred after an off duty officer spotted a Dodge Charger sitting in the middle of County Road 300 E in Seymour while one of the men was urinating in a nearby field.

Police raid home of Illinois man and seize marijuana

A 29-year-old man arrested by the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department appeared in court on May 3 with a bandage on his head. He said the injury occurred at the time of his arrest. Law enforcement entered his home in Kirkland on May 2 with a search warrant in a predawn raid. They reported finding over a half pound of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, hash oil and a baggie with cocaine residue.
