Authorities say that the search of the couple's Huntley home led to the discovery of significant quantities of drugs. As a result, the 45-year-old man faces 25 felony charges, and his wife faces 20 felony charges. Four of the man's drug possession charges were Class X felonies.
A search of two locations by the Vermilion County Metropolitan Enforcement Group in Georgetown, Illinois, uncovered an allegedly major heroin supply ring. After months of investigation, a tip from an anonymous source informed law enforcement of an impending heroin delivery from Chicago. Search warrants were then authorized for the two properties.
A Griggsville resident entered a plea of guilty to a charge of methamphetamine delivery in Adams County Circuit Court on Aug. 4. A man has been accused of DUI after allegedly causing two hit-and-run car accidents in a very short period of time. The Madison County Sheriff's department received two separate phone calls, minutes apart. The accused man was apprehended after the accidents and is now facing DUI charges and also two counts of leaving the scene of an accident.
